For installation conditions that do not allow for a classic slit bush or have large diameters, bush halves or dual bushes are generally used. The dual bush is characterised by a large prestress. Compared to the bush halves, the dual bushes provide a rubber stem for easier installation. It is located on the inner diameter and connects the two bush halves to one another.
The opening on the dual bushes can be widened for mounting around a stabilizer.
The two bushes consist of an outer shell, one or several rubber courses that are separated by spacer plates, and an inner shell with a rubber film. Because the installation diameter is somewhat smaller than the production diameter, the prestressing is applied radially during installation.
